Aromas of plum and spearmint. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a medium finish. A pretty young wine, yet a little lean. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Best after 2008.
Erin and I tasted this wine on Tuesday and wondered what the hell the Wine Spectator was talking about when they rated this wine 88 points. They need to retaste this one.This is a wine we’d rate between 93-95 points. Big, structured and rich with a bold funky delicious character. (I have no idea what they’re talking about on the lean part).
